A sought-after teacher in Northern Virginia, pianist Andrew Horowitz,
NCTM, is also an active soloist and collaborator.  He holds a Bachelor of
Music degree in piano performance from George Mason University and has
studied with Dr. Joanne Haroutounian, Dr. Robert Wyatt, and the late
Andrew DeGrado.  In addition to solo performances at the Kreeger Museum
in Washington, D.C. and George Mason University, he has performed at
numerous private functions throughout the Washington area.  As an
accompanist and instrumental coach, Mr. Horowitz has done work for
musicals, choirs, ballet classes, and student instrumentalists of all levels.  
Devoting the majority of his time to teaching, Mr. Horowitz maintains an
active studio of over 50 students in the Arlington/Falls Church area.

Aphrodite Mitsopoulou, Pianist

Aphrodite Mitsopoulou was born in Greece and started her musical studies at
the National Conservatory of Athens, where she obtained her first degree in
2003. In 2006, she was awarded her Soloist’s Diploma from the
Conservatory of Art and Technology.  In 2009, she earned her Master’s
Degree from the Boston Conservatory, where she studied on a partial
scholarship.  Ms. Mitsopoulou has received additional training at seminars
worldwide, including the well-known seminar at the University Mozarteum in
Salzburg.  Other notable teachers include Valery Sagaidatshny, Janice
Weber, and Dimitris Toufexis.

Since 2003, she has been the recipient of several awards and honors,
including first prize in the “Golden Muse” competition for her interpretation
of Greek and Contemporary Music.  Ms. Mitsopoulou’s performance
experience includes recitals in Greece and Boston, where she has continued
to develop her interest in the music of contemporary Greek composers.

Highly trained as an educator, Ms. Mitsopoulou has worked as a faculty-
selected tutor while at The Boston Conservatory.  Before she arrived in
Boston, she taught students of all ages in Greece from 2001 to 2007.  She is
a member of the New England Piano Teacher’s Association and the Pi Kappa
Lambda National Music Honor Society.

Ms. Mitsopoulou currently maintains an active teaching schedule in Falls
Church, Virginia, where she is based at Studio Horowitz.

Thomas Sebastian Mueller, Pianist

Thomas Sebastian Mueller was born in Germany, where he began his study of
the piano with private lessons at the age of six.  In 2005, he enrolled in George
Mason University's Piano program, from which he graduated in 2010.  His
principal interests in music are teaching and composing. His compositions include
works for orchestra, piano, voice, choir, and chamber ensembles.

Mr. Mueller has also pursued an interest in injury-preventive technique, which
has included advanced training with Dr. Barbara Lister-Sink in Winston-Salem,
North Carolina.

Mr. Mueller maintains an active teaching schedule in Falls Church, Virginia,
where he is based at Studio Horowitz.
