Recording Services for Recitals
You can have a professional-quality audio recording of your recital or other studio event—at a
price that you and your students can afford. Your students and their parents will be amazed at
how great they sound!
We’ll come early to your recital or event to set up our equipment; back at the studio, we’ll process
and edit the recording to enhance the sound and eliminate breaks between performers; we’ll press
as many CDs as you like; and, we’ll print CD labels and inserts.
The studio retains the rights to all recordings made. You may make limited copies for your own
personal use, but you may not sell or distribute recordings without permission.
There are two payment plans:
PAYMENT OPTION #1—TEACHER PAYS
• There is a flat service charge for set-up and travel.* No hourly charge for time spent at your
event.
• Copies of the recording CDs are $6 each. (Keep in mind that recitals with more than 70 minutes
of music will require two CDs.)
• CDs will be mailed or hand-delivered to the teacher.
PAYMENT OPTION #2—PARENTS PAY
• Parents will be given the opportunity to order CDs. The cost is $15 for single CDs and $20 for
double CDs.
• You may distribute order forms to parents ahead of time, or they may pick them up at the
recital. You may choose to make the purchase of a CD either optional or mandatory.
• CDs will be mailed directly to parents.
• You personally guarantee a minimum total order of $50 plus the applicable service charge for set-
up and travel*. If parents don’t order enough CDs to cover this amount, you will be billed for the
balance.
* Travel and set up fee is $300 for the following locations: All of Arlington and Fairfax Counties and the cities of
Alexandria, Fairfax, Falls Church, and Washington, D.C. It also includes southwestern Prince George’s County and
the northeastern Prince William County. Travel to points further afield is $50 per hour plus $300.
