Solo and Ensemble Festivals and other large events
Any festival, any instrument, and any level.
The fee is $65 for students in grades 8 and under and $85 for high school students (grades 9 through
12). For this fee, the Festival participant receives:
one 25-55 minute coaching/rehearsal
one 10-30 minute run-through rehearsal
accompaniment at the Festival
This rate applies only to those students who: 1) contact the studio before the entry deadline; 2) and
who do not make any special schedule requests.

Rehearsals take place at Mr. Horowitz' studio (locations in the city of Falls Church and South
Arlington). Rehearsals can also be held in your home or school for no additional charge if you have a
piano in good working order and can arrange for four or more rehearsals to be held in one visit
(subject to scheduling availability, generally either during the school day or on weekends).
For Grade 1, 2, 3, and 4 pieces, just bring the piano music to the first rehearsal. For Grade 5 and 6
pieces, it will be helpful to send the music ahead of time.
