Travel Policies
In most cases, rehearsals for instrumental or vocal soloists will take place only at the studios, which
are located in Alexandria (22301) and Falls Church (22044), Virginia. Mr. Horowitz will gladly travel
outside the studio to attend large group rehearsals (like musicals, choirs, or weddings) as well as to
attend competitions, recitals, or festivals for soloists. When practical, he will also travel to the studios
of soloists' principal teachers.
The minimum charge for rehearsals at the studio is $36. The minimum charge for rehearsals and
performances outside the studio is $72, regardless of how short.
There is no additional charge to travel to: Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Burke, Fairfax, Falls
Church, McLean, Springfield, Vienna, Fort Washington, MD, and downtown Washington, D.C.
Clients are expected to provide and/or pay for parking expenses.
When it is necessary to travel farther afield, an additional charge of $36 per hour for time spent in
transit, rounded up by the half-hour, will be due.
When it is necessary to travel, it is often also necessary to wait at the event site. Time spent waiting
is considered time spent working, and is charged just the same as rehearsal time.
