We imagine universal participation in these events for all youth students with one+ year experience.
September 28: Fall Performance Workshops begin. Most class are in-person.
Saturday, December 14: Winter Mini-Recital [tentative]
January 18: Winter/Spring Performance Workshops begin. Most classes are in-person.
April TBD: Honors Recital. Scheduled by invitation. Tentative. This date is subject to change.
May 31/June 1 or June 7/June 8: Summer Recital rehearsals at the Studio. Tentative. This date is subject to change.

2024-25 Studio Programs Key Dates & Highlights
Participation in these events is optional but encouraged for experienced students. Students, teachers, and parents choose which events and programs are meaningful and useful each individual student.

2024-25 Outside Events
Participation in outside events is optional but encouraged for experienced students. From among many dozens of area events, we've listed only teacher-organized events in which many of our students commonly participate. No single student participates in every event.
November 2024: [TBD] Virginia Music Teachers Association (VMTA) Fall Festival. Non-competitive. Two pieces performed in recorded video format.
Rolling: Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto Exams (RCM), remote option. Non-competitive. Remote live audition format.
Late November/Early December: Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto Exams (RCM) in-person option. Non-competitive. Live in-person audition format.
March 2025: [TBD] National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) Festival. Non-competitive. Two pieces performed in short recital format.
February: NVMTA Bach/Baroque Festival. Offers non-competitive and competitive divisions. Two Baroque era pieces performed in short recital format.
Mid May/Early June: RCM Exams, in-person option.
